In the latest hobby quest, we've switched to firearms. I just returned from my first practical. The theme for the night was "Screw the Shooter". So for my first outing at anything other than the standard shooting range was very difficult.

There are 3 targets at the first station, all must be shot with your weak hand while your dominant hand is carrying a 20 lbs brief case while wearing a flak vest and a hard hat with a mesh visor to obstruct your vision.

Once those targets are dispatched, reload and move to a shielded station with a single 6in by 12 in hole to shoot another 4 targets twice each, oh.. Don't shoot the hostages marked in white!

The final stage was really screw the shooter.. A Texas Star and a single stationary target. The Star is a 5 spoked target on a revolving axle, when you shoot the first target the axle gets unbalanced and the rest of the targets start to move about, making it more difficult to shoot.

My first run through with all the gear wasn't that bad. I managed a score of 66 with a big -40 due to hitting 4 hostages. My second run through was better, since we didn't have to wear the gear. I finished 30 seconds sooner and scored a total of 75 points with a hit factor of 1.374.
